Perhentian island divers is an attached dive centre to the Perhentian island resort, located at teluk pauh beach, the northern part of the island

The beautiful wooden chalet that located close to the beautiful beach. Choose from Premier, superior, or deluxe.

Dining

Restaurant serving local, asian and western food, buffet are also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Along the main restaurant, a beach kiosk that operating from 10am-6pm serve drink & snacks.

Closest airport is Kota Bharu (KBR), travelling from Kuala Terengganu airport is also possible

Via Land

Train, buses or chartered cars are available from most city to arrive Kuala besut jetty, buses will arrived directly to besut terminal, which is within the walking distance to the jetty. While for the train, you can get off from a selection of station, Tanah merah train station is the closest distance to the jetty(appx. 45mins land journey), but more popular station would be wakaf bharu which is closer to kota bharu where you can catch the bus easily.

Finally, boat transfer

Speed boats with a capacity of between 12-15passengers is the most popular transfer mode at the kuala besut jetty, the fare is MYR70/person for return ticket and the date is open. Boat will send you directly to the beach where your choice of resort located, and opposite way, the boat can pick you up from any of the resort/beach, just need to get the reception to inform about the date and time of departure

Take note

Perhentian is located on the east coast that facing the monsoon from november-feb. The operational period is Mar-Oct every year.

Climate

Tropical hot with high humidity, temperature ranging between 21-32 degree celsius with humidity of 80%

Clothing

No dress restriction, best to dress modestly according to the weather

Bank/ATM

No ATM or bank available in the island. Bring some cash but not too much as credit card is widely available, with some fees though, from most operator

Power

The connection is 22v, 50cycles using three rectangular prongs similar to UK, most resort/shop provide 24hours electricity

Health and medical service

There is only one clinic available in the island. Resort, dive centres have their own first aid kits, O2 tank for emergency use

Currency

Malaysian Ringgit (MYR/RM), there is no money changer in the island, some operator exchanged foreign currency, but at the really lower rate
